Privacy Policy

This policy explains what The Shortlist (operated by Tossie Advisory Group, LLC) collects, why, and what you can do about it.

What we collect

• Account details: your email address, plan, and the date you accepted our Terms.
• QuickScan and scans: the text of your resume and the job you target are sent to our servers to calculate a score. We store the results (scores, matched and missing keywords) in your account. We do not store your resume text from QuickScan.
• Done For You orders: your name, email, phone (optional), ZIP code, target jobs, and the resume file you upload. These are stored so TAG staff can prepare your packet.
• Payments: handled by Stripe. We receive confirmation of payment and your billing email and name; we never see or store your full card number.
• Referral codes: if you arrived through a link with a referral code, we store that code with your account to credit the person or campaign that referred you.
• Basic technical data: IP address (for rate limiting and fraud prevention) and standard server logs.
• Analytics and advertising cookies: we use Google Analytics and the Meta (Facebook/Instagram) pixel to see how people find and use The Shortlist and to measure our ads. They record pages visited and actions like starting a scan, joining the waitlist, or completing a purchase (with its price), along with device and browser information. We never send them your name, email, resume, or scan details.

How we use it

To score and tailor your resume, find jobs, deliver Done For You packets, send you login links and results, process payments, prevent abuse, and improve The Shortlist. We send occasional emails about your account and The Shortlist; you can unsubscribe from non-essential emails at any time.

Who we share it with

We do not sell your personal information. Google and Meta receive the analytics and advertising data described above and may use it under their own policies, including to measure and improve ads; under some state laws (such as California's) that can count as "sharing" for advertising. Otherwise we share it only with service providers that help us run The Shortlist: hosting and storage (Netlify), email delivery (Resend), payments (Stripe), AI model providers that process resume and job text to produce scores and suggestions (such as Anthropic, Google, and Perplexity), and job-search data providers. TAG staff who fulfill Done For You orders see the details of those orders.

How long we keep it

Account and scan results are kept while your account is active. Done For You order records are kept as business records. You can ask us to delete your account and data at any time, except records we must keep for legal, tax, or fraud-prevention reasons.

Your choices

You can block or delete cookies in your browser, opt out of Google Analytics with Google's browser add-on (tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout), and control Meta ad personalization in your Facebook or Instagram ad settings. To opt out of our sharing for advertising, email us and we'll honor it, and we treat a Global Privacy Control signal from your browser the same way.

Email support@tagshortlist.com to access, correct, or delete your data, or with any privacy question. The Shortlist is intended for adults 18 and over in the United States.

Changes

We will post any changes to this policy here with a new effective date.
